Lewis: Obama is the ‘Fulfillment’ of King’s Dream

Georgia Rep. John Lewis on Thursday called Barack Obama the
fulfillment of Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1963 “I Have a Dream” speech,
saying the Democratic presidential nominee will lead the country to a
new era of liberty and equality.
“Tonight we gather here in Denver because we still have a dream. We
still have a cards playing custom the black civil rights leader and friend of the
late King told the Democratic National Convention on the 45th
anniversary of King’s famous address.
“With the nomination of Senator Barack Obama tonight — the man who
will lead the Democratic Party in the fight for the White House — we
are making a down payment on the fulfillment of that dream,” Lewis
continued.
A video tribute to King and the history of the civil rights movement
followed Lewis’ speech, in which he described the struggles he
personally endured.
“As a participant in the promotional playing cards rights movement, I can tell you that
the road to victory will not be easy. Some of us were beaten,
arrested, taken to jail and some of us were even killed trying to
register to vote.”
A congressman since 1987, Lewis first gained national prominence in
the 1960s, during the Selma to Montgomery, Ala., voting rights
marches. During one march, police publicly beat Lewis to a bloody
pulp. Lewis still carries scars from playing cards beating.
Lewis supported Hillary Clinton early in the primaries but switched
his support to Obama in February after the Illinois senator beat
Clinton in Georgia by a 3-1 margin. Lewis then custom faces playing cards in a written
statement that Obama’s campaign “represents the beginning of a new
movement in American political history” and that he wants “to be on
the side of the people.”
Lewis said that homeowners insurance was harder than the beating he took in
Alabama.
“It was easier to walk across that bridge and face those state
troopers and be beaten and left bloody,” he said at the time. “This
has been hard. This indie fashion been difficult. But there comes a time when
you have cheap renters insurance make a decision.”
On Thursday night, Lewis expressed no mixed feelings about how far
America can go with Obama at the helm.
“Yes we’ve come a long way, but we ford insurance have a distance to go,” he
said. “We must renters insurance again on November 4, in every state, in every
city, in every village, in every hamlet. We best insurance march to the ballot
box. We must march like we never marched before to elect the next

You know a speech is just words.Lots of people can give a good speech
and make people think they are good .besides most people don’t even
write their own speeches they just read them. It’s what they do that
counts and so far all I see is words. Besides they can say they will
do all these wonderful things. Like bring home our men and women from
the war. Lower tax’s but it is really congress that makes the rules .
And the playing cards promotional that was voted in can’t even get along. They fight
like per school kids.It’s all about power.It’s not about America indie clothes the people it’s who can make the other party madder.

The Dimocrats are totaling delusional to think that the Obama is a
unifier. Other than the fact that he is THE most corrupted politician
coming out of playing cards custom poker Chicago south side, he has NOT done one thing in his
short political career indie clothing show that he is what he said he is.

What a great Day in bridge size playing cards Not since JFK has this country seen a
leader of this magnitude! Barack Obama speech tonight brought cheap homeowners insurance Republican, Democrat and Independents together!
He has inspired all Americans to multiple insurance quotes together to make the choice cheap house insurance change our countries direction and become best car insurance world class leaders that
we are!

I believe Congressman Lewis is incorrect if Barack obama was
fulfulling Martin Luther King’s dream he would be a Republican like
King was.

He was, quite frankly, the epitome of the American Dream tonight… he
will be the greatest president of the united states in almost 100
years — and HE won’t cheat on his wife!

OK. So vote for him because he’s black? What? That doesn’t sound
anything like what Dr. King said. In fact if you judge him by the
content of his character and not by the color of his skin you find
Obama sorely lacking.
Don’t debase the great Dr King by dragging his name through the Obama
spin machine.
